Joint Sealing

HydraTite Sealing System - The solution for all your leakage problems

Hunting LogoThe newly designed HydraTite Sealing System is a revolutionary concept for pipeline rehabilitation. Hunting HTI Rehab has taken a proven pipe joint concept and raised it to a higher level of technology – for a higher level of performance. With superior quality and intricate design detail the HydraTite Sealing System guarantees a tight, leak free seal at a substantial saving. Not only does the HydraTite Sealing System serve as an internal joint seal, it can also be transformed into an interlocking sleeving system custom designed to fit any length of pipe 16” diameter and larger for water, wastewater, gas, industrial and power plant pipelines

HydraTite Seal Applications

Water/Wastewater Pipelines

HydraTite seals, designed for use in portable water and wastewater pipeline applications, are manufactured from EPDM rubber with all ingredients listed in FDA Title 21 Code of Federal Regulations Section 177.2600 Rubber Articles Intended for Repeated Use with the final material not supporting microbiological growth when used in potable water or sea water or in humid aerobic conditions. The retaining bands are manufactured from stainless steel of various alloys selected for each particular application. An ISO 9000 registered quality system directs the manufacturing of the seal. In addition, the HydraTite seal is certified to ANSI/NSF Standard 61 for use with potable water.

Industrial Pipelines

HydraTite seals, designed for industrial pipelines, are manufactured from the appropriate rubber compound for each particular application. The retaining bands are manufactured from the appropriate metal alloy or composite material.

Natural Gas Pipelines

HydraTite seals, designed for use in Natural Gas pipelines, are manufactured from Niltrile (butadiene acrylonitrile) rubber compound for each particular application. The retaining bands are manufactured from carbon steel of the appropriate alloy required for the application.

Power Plant Pipelines

HydraTite seals, designed for pipelines in fossil and nuclear power plants, are manufactured from the appropriate rubber compound for each particular application. The retaining bands are manufactured from the appropriate metal alloy or composite material.

HydraTite Specialised Applications

Unusual Shapes

The unique and proprietary design of the HydraTite internal joint sealing system ensures maximum flexibility and integrity of application and performance, fulfilling not only standard and traditional needs in cylindrical conduits, pipes and tubes, but also in odd and usual shapes including oval pipes, square and rectangular conduits, reinforced concrete structures and permanently resolving leakage problems in structurally sound municipal and industrial holding and storage tanks.

Interlocking Sleeving Systems

The HydraTite internal joint sealing system design incorporates a proprietary sleeving and lining capability that is cost effective and ale to give new life to most eroded, cracked and degraded pipe and conduits. The HydraTite sleeving system is a true and valuable option that will assist the design or maintenance engineer solve unique and difficult problems quickly and efficiently.

Advantages of the HydraTite Seal

  • A permanent solution – Non corrosive, bottle tight seal can accommodate operating pressures greater than 300 PSI and external head pressures in excess of 150 feet.

  • Flexible – Can provide a leak tight seal while accommodating pipe movement from thermal expansion or contraction, vibration and ground shifting.

  • Minimal flow loss – Superior low-profile design eliminates concerns about loss of flow

  • Trenchless installation – Access openings can be as much as 5000 feet apart with minimum surface disturbance and little inconvenience to the public and utility. Sewer installation can usually be accomplished through manhole entry with no excavation required.

  • Substantial savings – Economical repair alternative to conventional methods with savings in excess of 50%

  • Wide range of pipeline installations – HydraTite seals are available for any pipe materials and any pipe shape. These include pipes made of cast iron, ductile steel steel, concrete, reinforced concrete, pre-stressed, corrugated metal, concrete cylinder, vitrified clay, polyethylene, fibreglass and PVC.
